Cape Reinga

On Sunday we went to this really cool part of New Zealand. It was the tip of the North Island and it was VERY WINDY! It felt like hurricane winds!!! It was so strong that my mom and Louisa walked back to the RV which was shaking that at any minute it felt it would tumble over. My dad and I proceeded to walk towards the light house which was about a football field away. What would have been a 10-minute walk, it took us 20 minutes due to the strong wind. If you looked down at the ocean by the lighthouse the water was very rough. The reason was that the Tasman Sea was intercepting with the Pacific Ocean.  When we left, my mom drove the RV for the first time. She did pretty well! We later found a spot to spend the night called Marty’s Golf & Cafe. DSCN0890 DSCN0888 DSCN0880 DSCN0875
