  1. Wonder by R.J. Palacio – Awesome! A nice and happy ending story about a deformed boy who has been forced to go to school after being homeschooled all his life.
  2. The Fault in our Stars by John Green – Very sad, and a lot to take in. A cute never ending love story between two teenagers with cancer. Overall, pretty good!
  3. Black Beauty by Anna Sewell – Classic…good to reread it! 🙂
  4. Divergent by Veronica Roth – REALLY GOOD!!!! The first book of the series; action packed and full of romance!!
  5. The Giver by Lois Lowry – Different story, weird.
  6. Diary of Anne Frank by Anne Frank – Historical, and I really liked it from the point of view of Anne.
  7. The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein – Excellent! Sad, but very intriguing especially coming from the dog’s perspective.
  8. Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson – Not my kind. Total boy book with pirates!
  9. Insurgent by Veronica Roth – AMAZING!!! Second book to the Divergent series and you have to read Divergent first.
  10. The Lions of Little Rock by Kristin Levine – Excellent historical fiction! Great for girls my age. A happy ending friendship story set back in 1958 Little Rock, Arkansas when segregation was still around…
  11. Animal Farm by George Orwell – I don’t think I liked it.
  12. The Boy with the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne – Very sad and also historical fiction. A NON-HAPPY ending book about a German boy set back at the time of WW 2.
  13. Allegiant by Veronica Roth – I was almost finished when I left the Kindle in Laos! That’s another story…
  14. Ungifted by Gordon Korman – Great read for kids about a middle school boy who gets put in the gifted program by mistake!
  15. Looking for Alaska by John Green – A better book for older kids or even adults. I didn’t like it, too much love.
  16. The Best of Roald Dahl by Roald Dahl – Excellent and definitely intriguing short stories!!
